about the directors

Halley Radebaugh

Halley Radebaugh is in her eleventh year of teaching and is the head choir director at Renner Middle School in Plano ISD. She began her teaching career at Arbor Creek Middle School in Lewisville ISD, where she had the honor of co-directing the Bel Canto Choir at TMEA in 2017. Under her direction, the Renner Choirs

have received consistent superior ratings at festivals and UIL Evaluations. In 2022, the Renner A Cappella Treble Choir was invited to perform at the Texas Music Education Association's annual convention in San Antonio. In 2023, Halley served as a section leader of the TCDA Elementary Honor Choir under the direction of acclaimed children’s choir conductor Dr. Liz Shepley.

Halley holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. She is also one of the Administrative Directors at the TCU All-State Choir Camp.

Halley is a resident of Plano, Texas, which is where she grew up and learned to love choral music while attending Plano West Senior High School. While she was a student there, Halley earned membership in the TMEA All-State Mixed Choir in 2007, which she credits as the experience that drove her to pursue music education.

In her spare time, Halley likes to spend time with her friends and family, hang out with her dog, and binge procedural crime dramas. She is an active member of TMEA and TCDA.

Jarrett Hatcher

Jarrett Hatcher is in their fourth year of teaching, and is elated to return to Renner, their home middle school. Previously, they taught choir at Blalack MS in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, and Faubion MS in McKinney ISD, where the Cambiata Tenor-Bass Chorus was selected to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in 2022. Hatcher also served as a private voice instructor for both Renner MS and Murphy MS in Plano ISD, and Arbor Creek MS in Lewisville ISD.

A 2011 graduate of Renner MS, and a 2015 graduate of Plano

West SHS, Hatcher was a member of the 2015 TMEA

All-State Tenor-Bass Choir. They earned their Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Tech University in 2019. During Hatcher's undergraduate studies, they placed ninth in the National American Choral Directors Association Undergraduate Conducting competition, was selected as one of four in Texas to sing in the 2017 ACDA National Collegiate Honor Choir, and was elected as the Texas Ambassador for SWACDA in 2018. Hatcher was also named one of the top sixty students at TTU, being inducted into one of the most nationally recognized chapters of Mortar Board in 2019.

Jarrett Hatcher has held a number of leadership positions, such as Founding President of the Epsilon Pi chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon, Publicity Officer for the TTU Choral Department, Student Senator in the TTU Student Government Association, and a College of Visual and Performing Arts Ambassador. Hatcher was the St. John's Children's Choir Director in Lubbock and taught elementary music through the East Lubbock Promise Neighborhood non-profit grant for Title-I schools.

When they aren't in the choir room, you can find Hatcher either at your local Rosa's with a soft chicken taco plate (no tomatoes) and a large chips and queso, or cuddling with their 80lb wolf (Alaskan Malamute) named Jasper.
